The International Disabled Self-Defense Association was founded by Master Instructor Jurgen Schmidt in response to the need for a new kind of disabled association.

A Worldwide Membership Organization, the IDSA is dedicated to providing all disabled, as well as able-bodied individuals, with a dynamic and supportive forum where members can fraternize, explore, exchange, review and discover new and exciting activities as well as find services and products that increase overall quality of life.
